Microscopic Examination

Includes volume, liquification, viscosity, agglutination, pH, count, and motility.

Specimen Requirements

Specimen must arrive by 10 a.m. the morning of collection. Send specimen Monday through Friday only and not on a holiday.

Transport Temperature: Body Temperature

Container Tube: Clean container

Specimen Volume: Total ejaculate.

Collection Instructions:

1. Patient should have 2 to 7 days of sexual abstinence at time of semen collection for accurate results.

2. Forward promptly at ambient (room) temperature only.
