Methodology
Ratio is a calculation using results from total protein (colorimetric) and creatinine (2-point rate).
Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Urine
Container/Tube: 24-hour, plastic urine

Specimen Volume: Entire collection
Collection Instructions:
1. Collect a 24-hour urine specimen.
2. No preservative.
3. Refrigerate specimen during collection.
Additional Information:
1. Starting and ending times of collection are
required.
2. Follow instructions in Urine Collection in Special
Instructions.
3. A random urine collection (minimum volume: 1 mL) is acceptable.
