Collection Instructions: Serum for a peak level must be drawn 30 minutes after completion of a 30-minute intravenous infusion or 1 hour after an intramuscular injection.

Urinary infection: 5.0-7.0 mcg/mL

Gram-negative sepsis: 8.0-10.0 mcg/mL

Soft tissue infection: 5.0-8.0 mcg/mL

Synergy for gram-positive infections: 3.0-5.0 mcg/mL

Critical values (automatic call-back): <5.0 mcg/mL or >12.0 mcg/mL
