Specimen Type: Bronchial

Container/Tube: Sterile container

Specimen Volume: Entire specimen

Collection Instructions:

1. Wash brushed site and surrounding areas with saline.

2. Aspirate saline by use of gentle suction through bronchoscope and place in container.

3. Label container with patient’s name (first and last), date and actual time of collection, site of procurement (right and left) and bronchial branches.

4. Forward promptly.
